Strato3D opens in Rome: new shop and warehouse in Lanuvio

Strato3D opens its new Rome site in Lanuvio, at Via Valle Fiara 29: a shop and warehouse for 3D printing, printers and prototyping in Lazio.

There are announcements you nurture for months before you can make them, and this is one of them. From today Strato3D has a home in Lazio too: we are opening a new shop and warehouse in Lanuvio, at Via Valle Fiara 29, a stone's throw from Rome and in the heart of the Castelli Romani.

Until yesterday, anyone following us from central and southern Italy had to rely on the Milan and Perugia sites, with everything that means in terms of shipping times and distance when you need to see a machine in person or talk to someone face to face. From today, no longer. And for us, who talk about 3D printing every day with companies, schools and public bodies, having a physical presence in the Rome area was a missing piece we had felt for some time.

Why Rome, and why Lanuvio in particular

We asked ourselves the same question, and the answer came from looking at the enquiries we were receiving. Lazio, and Rome in particular, is an enormous catchment area: manufacturing, design, prototyping studios, a great deal of school and university activity, and a public sector that has learned to work seriously with 3D printing. Serving this area from afar meant losing that piece of direct contact which, frankly, is the part of our work we enjoy most.

Lanuvio, moreover, is not a random choice. It is well connected to Rome and to the Castelli area, it has spaces suitable for a real warehouse — not a symbolic shop window — and it lets us keep in stock what customers ask for most often without having to bring it in from another region. In plain words: less waiting, more stock available immediately, and someone to talk to in person.

What you will find at the new site

The shop-warehouse at Via Valle Fiara 29 is not just a collection point. It is designed to do what we do in Milan and Perugia, brought closer to those in Lazio.

You will find the 3D printers we stock, from desktop machines for makers and teaching to professional solutions for those who produce, with the chance to see them in person before choosing — which is a different thing from looking at them on an online product page. And above all you will find us, that is, people to think through the right machine or material with for whatever you need to print, without the filter of a shopping basket.

Then there is the whole 3D printing and prototyping service side: if you do not want to buy a machine but need a part, a prototype or a small batch, you can now rely on a local site for that too.

A reference point for companies, schools and public bodies too

An important share of those who work with us are not individual enthusiasts but structured organisations: companies wanting to bring prototyping in-house, technical institutes and universities setting up labs, public bodies purchasing through MePA. For all of them, having a reachable site in Lazio changes a great deal — from the possibility of arranging a visit and a demo, to after-sales support, to smoother management of recurring supplies.

And there is a topical matter that ties in well with the new opening: in 2026 businesses can once again count on significant incentives for investing in Industria 4.0 technologies. If you are considering buying a 3D printer in the Rome area and wondering what qualifies and what does not, you now have a place to come and discuss it in person. We have written a full guide in our in-depth piece on the 2026 iperammortamento, but sitting down at a table together remains the best way to work out whether it suits your case.

How to reach us and get in touch

The new site is at Via Valle Fiara 29, Lanuvio (RM). For the moment we are open by appointment: a deliberate choice, at least in this start-up phase, because it lets us devote the right amount of time to you when you come — the machine ready to be seen and someone waiting for you without rushing, rather than a shop window to glance at. Just write to us from the contacts page or send us a message to set a day and time, tell us if you want to see a particular machine or discuss a project, and we will arrange the visit.

The long-standing sites in Milan and Perugia naturally remain active and fully operational: the Lanuvio news adds to them, it replaces nothing. Quite simply, we are now closer to those in Rome and Lazio too.

If you are local, book a visit and come and see us. Do bring along the file for that part you have been putting off for months: in all likelihood we can print it — or tell you which machine will let you print it yourself.
