Description
Designed for Polyamide-based Filaments Polyamide (nylon) is known for its excellent thermal and mechanical resistance, making it ideal for printing functional technical parts that require high temperature and mechanical resistance. However, printing with polyamide can be challenging due to its tendency to warp and high moisture absorption. The Prusa PA Nylon powder-coated print sheet addresses these challenges by providing a surface that enhances adhesion, particularly for PA11-type materials, which generally have lower adhesion on textured or satin print sheets. Cleaning and Maintenance To maintain optimal performance, clean the print sheet only with pure water. Using common detergents like isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or acetone can lead to rapid surface deterioration. If greasy spots are present, use clean water with a drop of dish soap. The use of glue stick is no longer necessary and is not recommended. Compatibility and Usage This print sheet is suitable for use with polyamide-based materials and PETG. Other materials may detach during printing due to insufficient adhesion. It is important to note that consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, nylon, etc.), are not covered under warranty as coatings are designed to diminish over time unless failure occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks, or other aesthetic damage, is also not covered by the warranty. Only sheets that are defective upon arrival are covered under warranty. Surface Wear and Visual Changes Due to the temperatures the plate is exposed to during printing, its surface gradually becomes shinier or may develop smaller, duller areas. This visual change does not negatively affect printing properties and is not considered a reason for a warranty claim. With the Original Prusa MK4, wear on the PA Nylon sheet is particularly noticeable at the Z-sensing points, where the nozzle leaves visible marks on the surface. This does not affect surface adhesion or overall printability. The Prusa PA Nylon powder-coated print sheet is specifically designed for 3D printing with polyamide-based filaments, including Prusament PA11 Carbon Fiber Black. Its specialized surface enhances adhesion, reducing the need for additional adhesives. This double-sided spring steel sheet offers durability and is compatible with various Original Prusa 3D printers. Key Features Optimized for polyamide-based materials, especially PA11 Carbon Fiber Black. Eliminates the need for glue stick or additional adhesives. Easy to clean with pure water, avoid using IPA or acetone. Compatible with Original Prusa i3 MK3/S/+, MK2.5/S, and MK4 heatbeds. Durable double-sided powder-coated spring steel construction. The surface may develop a shinier appearance over time, this does not affect performance.
