3D Printing for Boating - Components, Spare Parts, and Refits
On board, many parts are out of production, expensive, or impossible to find. Shipyards, refit yards, and owners use third-party 3D printing to reproduce spare parts, create custom accessories, and prototype components, often starting from a 3D scan of the original part.
What we produce for the marine industry
- No longer available spare parts, reproduced from a sample or 3D scan
- Deck and on-board accessories: supports, cable glands, caps, handles
- Components for systems, air intakes, and instrument housings
- Prototypes of marine products before mass production
- Jigs and templates for on-board assembly
Materials and technologies
The marine environment requires materials resistant to UV rays, humidity, and salt spray: we use ASA, PETG, and Nylon, with SLS in PA12 for functional parts. For aesthetic components, we offer SLA with a painted finish. We can also produce large formats with FGF technology.
