3D Printing for Cultural Heritage, Restoration, and Museums - Replicas and Installations
Museums, restorers, and cultural institutions use third-party 3D printing to create replicas of artifacts, missing parts for restoration, tactile models, and display supports, enhancing artworks without risk to the originals.
What we produce for the sector
- Replicas and study copies of artifacts and artworks, from 3D scans
- Integrations and missing parts for restoration
- Tactile models for accessibility and museum education
- Custom supports, bases, and display cases for exhibits
- Prototypes for merchandising and museum bookshops
Materials and technologies
For detail fidelity, we use high-resolution SLA; for large-format replicas, FDM and FGF. 3D scanning allows non-contact object acquisition and precise copy printing. Finishes (painting, patination) provide a realistic result.
Why Strato3D
We combine scanning, modeling, and printing with attention to detail, from Monza, near the museum and cultural centers of Milan and Lombardy. See also our services for display cases and exhibits and scenography and events.
