3D printer operating lease

Professional printing without capital immobilization

Operational leasing allows you to use a professional 3D printer by paying a fixed monthly fee, without purchasing it. At the end of the contract, you can return the machine, renew it, or buy it out at an agreed residual value. No upfront payment, no large initial fee.

It is the ideal solution for companies, technical studios, laboratories, and artisans who want to access advanced 3D printing while maintaining financial flexibility and optimizing tax efficiency.

Tax advantages: why it's better than direct purchase

Operational leasing offers concrete tax advantages compared to traditional purchase:

  • 100% deductibility: The monthly fee is fully deductible as an operating cost in the relevant fiscal year. With direct purchase, however, the asset must be depreciated over several years (typically 5 years for electronic machinery), with a completely different impact on cash flow.
  • Recoverable VAT: For VAT-registered entities, the tax on the fee is fully recoverable.
  • Preserved credit lines: Operational leasing does not affect creditworthiness or tie up bank credit lines, leaving working capital available for other business needs.
  • Compatibility with Industry 4.0 / Transition 5.0: If the printer meets the technical requirements (interconnection with the management system, process parameter monitoring), the fee may be compatible with the tax credit provided by the Transition 5.0 Plan. Always check with your tax advisor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can access operational leasing?
Operational leasing is reserved for VAT-registered entities: freelancers, artisans, SMEs, engineering and architecture firms, laboratories, manufacturing companies. It is not available for private individuals without a VAT number.

The contract includes ordinary maintenance. For extraordinary breakdowns, Strato3D guarantees priority technical support and, in more serious cases, replacement of the asset. The details are defined in the service contract we provide you before signing.

Can I buy out the printer before the contract expires?
Early buyout is generally possible but involves specific conditions defined in the contract. Contact us to evaluate your situation.

Is operational leasing compatible with the Transition 5.0 tax credit?
Compatibility depends on the technical characteristics of the machine (in particular the interconnection with the management system) and the contractual structure. We can provide you with the technical sheet with relevant specifications to share with your accountant.

How long does it take to activate the contract?
From the accepted quote to machine delivery, it typically takes 7–10 business days, including the approval process of the partner financing company (typically 3–5 days).
