Strength and Mechanical Performance Fibreheart PETG-CF Pro HF is built around a glycol-modified PETG matrix reinforced with short carbon fibers. This combination significantly increases rigidity and dimensional stability compared to standard PETG, while maintaining strong impact resistance. It is particularly suitable for functional prototypes, mechanical components, jigs, and fixtures where precision and strength are essential. High-Flow Formula for Faster Printing The Pro HF formulation is designed to support higher extrusion rates, enabling faster print speeds without compromising surface quality or layer adhesion. This makes it especially useful for large prints or production-oriented workflows where reducing print times is crucial. Consistent Results and Printing Reliability Despite the material's advanced properties, PETG-CF Pro HF remains easy to work with. It offers excellent layer adhesion and minimal warping, even on more complex geometries. Its resistance to moisture, UV rays, and many chemicals ensures long-lasting performance in both indoor and outdoor environments. Printing Tips Due to the abrasive nature of carbon fiber, a hardened steel or wear-resistant nozzle is recommended. A nozzle size of 0.4mm or larger offers the best balance between detail and flow. While an enclosed printer is not strictly necessary, it can help maintain consistent temperatures and improve results on larger parts. Fibreheart PETG-CF Pro HF is a high-performance 3D printing filament developed for the rapid and reliable production of strong and functional parts. Its carbon fiber reinforced PETG base and high-flow formulation make it ideal for demanding applications where speed, rigidity, and dimensional precision are important. The material combines industrial-grade performance with the ease of printing that PETG is known for. Key Features High-flow carbon fiber PETG designed for fast printing Reinforced with short carbon fibers for increased rigidity Excellent layer adhesion with low risk of warping Optimized for high-speed printing up to approximately 200 mm/s Good resistance to chemicals, UV exposure, and moisture Matte black surface with a professional finish Features Manufacturer: Siraya Tech Model: ST3031 Weight: 1200 g Buy Siraya Tech PETG-CF HF Pro on STRATO3D with fast shipping in Italy.

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) filament offers the best compromise between PLA's ease of printing and ABS's strength. Water, chemical, and UV resistant, with good thermal resistance up to 80 °C, it is the go-to material for functional parts intended for real-world environments. At Strato3D, you'll find over 40 PETG filaments from top brands.

When to use PETG

  • Functional outdoor parts: supports, brackets, containers — resists rain and UV rays.
  • Containers and bottles: same material as plastic bottles (traceable to food-grade PET).
  • Everyday use parts: accessories, supports, objects subject to impacts and bending.
  • Pre-production prototypes: parts that realistically simulate final use.
  • Transparent prints: PETG has very aesthetically pleasing transparent "glass" colors.

Technical Specifications

  • Nozzle temperature: 220-250 °C.
  • Bed temperature: 70-90 °C.
  • Thermal resistance: up to 80 °C in continuous use.
  • Impact resistance: 4-5 times higher than standard PLA.
  • Chemical resistance: excellent to oils, diluted acids, alkalis.
  • UV-resistance: fair, better than PLA but inferior to ASA.
  • Stringing: tendency to string — optimize retraction and temperature.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PETG food-safe? PETG itself is food-safe, but FDM printing creates micro-cavities. For food use, check food-contact certified filaments.

Does PETG absorb moisture? Yes, it is hygroscopic. Store it in a dryer if not used for more than a week. Dry at 65 °C for 4 hours if it has absorbed moisture.

Is it weather resistant? Yes, much better than PLA. Good UV resistance, excellent water resistance.

PETG or ABS? PETG is easier to print, less toxic, and weather resistant. ABS is more thermally resistant (90-100 °C vs 80 °C) and adheres better with acetone. For everyday use, choose PETG.
